A new version of the Chess Game Viewer JavaScript file has been published. It turned out that the letters below the board in the FEN Viewer were shifted to the right in Opera.
This problem has been solved in this latest version.

So the White to move and win diagram below should look OK in all browsers.

The Blogspot Chess Game Viewer can also be used to display chess puzzles of which the solution has to remain hidden as long as the right answer hasn't been given.

The chess problem below from the game Aljechin - Ricondo is a nice example. After three attempts or after making the right move the solution will become visible. You can make a move by clicking at a piece followed by clicking the target square.
Please note that it is also possible with this game viewer to add a description of the initial position at the right side of the board.


The solution will also be revealed by clicking on show solution.

This mate in three diagram is only used as an experiment of this new chess publishing method.

Chesstempo.com seems to be a rather new site and they are offering a rather nice PGN viewer. However I was unable to use it on this blog site, because you need to upload the PGN-file first. But I liked the way the pieces were moving very much.

On the mentioned website a Chess Tactics page can be found, which seems to use the same PGN viewer to solve tactics puzzles. This is somewhat similar to the more familiar Chess Tactics Server.

Both links may be worth visiting if you want to train some tactics, but the ultimate PGN-viewer has not been found yet.

In my search for ways to publish chess games on a blog I came across Shredderchess.
Shredderchess.com offers a possibility to add daily updated chess puzzles on a chess page.
This results in the following diagram.



I think it looks rather nice, but I prefer to add my own chess puzzles and the internal frame is depending on another site.
The search continues.
